Every success story must be accompanied with series of struggles, stumbles and falls. But as the saying goes thus “winners never quit, quitters never win“.
The first of the obstacles I was faced with was to get a personal computer. It took me a lot of contributions and with the help of Ustadh Raheem Ya’qub, whom I sent the money for the laptop to buy for me. He added more than a 100% of the amount I sent to him. He did this for him to get me a very durable, good and perfect laptop. Allah will not let him down. He will continue to soar higher.
The other challenges I have is how to manage my bulk of schedules and have an ample enough of time for my practice. Below are the explanation on my bulk of schedules:
Being a Central Mosque Imam: In the year 2016, I was selected to become the Chief Imam of Anu Oluwa Central Mosque, Jamade, Apete, Ibadan. It is a whole lot of exercise and time consuming, unless if someone does not want to perform excellently well. I have to prepare for dawn prayer; the recitations and morning admonition-everyday. And you cannot hear me repeat topics or recitation. It is very hard for anyone to predict the direction I would go in recitation and admonition. Then comes Friday sermon. I have to prepare for it as well for my sermon not to sound boring to the congregation. Eid prayers are also inclusive. All these are full time works and need a lot of time.
Madrasah: From Monday to Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, I have to attend to students for Islamic knowledge. It has extended from Nigeria to the United Kingdom. I have students there as well.
Contract Appointment: At the Vocational Skills and Entrepreneurship Study Centre, I was given a contract appointment to earn a token as Senior Data Processing Officer. I resume at the office around 7:00am and close by 4:00pm from Monday to Friday. Whereas, the work assigned to me there is enormous. I have to be up and doing every time.
Weekly Lecture: Withing Apete, Awotan, Ayegun and its environs, every Sunday, I always delivery an Islamic sermon in either of these areas. It needs preparation and time.
Although, all the above has to do with time management, I schedule most of my practice to late night in the evening or midnight.
My greatest challenge is applications of all I have learnt in javaScript.
I have learnt series of things in javaScript. But I have the some ambiguities not still clear to me. I pray I get over it before I complete my practice. With the help of Allah, Who has endowed me with my boss, in person of Dev Abdulhameed Fu’ad, I believe I will come out as a very good developer.
Thank you.
